NILD Educational Therapy® empowers students with the tools they need for independent learning—both in the classroom and throughout life.
At the heart of the program is the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) Discovery Program, which uses highly trained and certified educational therapists to deliver individualized, intensive, and mediated learning experiences. This direct, language-based intervention is designed for students in grades 2–12 who face learning challenges.
Unlike traditional tutoring, which often focuses on symptoms, NILD therapy addresses the underlying causes of learning difficulties. Through one-on-one or small-group sessions, students receive targeted support that promotes cognitive development, academic confidence, and lifelong learning strategies.
NILD Educational Therapy is unique in its therapeutic approach—interventions are intentionally set just above a student’s current level of functioning. By doing so, students are continually challenged and supported, fostering meaningful growth in competence, independence, and self-assurance.
